Rachel is a current Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) student at Western who is interested in topics of records organization, metadata construction, and archival work. Rachel is from Dundas, Ontario and did her undergraduate degree at McMaster University in Communications and a minor in Commerce.

Rachel was introduced to this project through Charlotte McClellan and Marni Harrington. Charlotte taught Rachel the Database Management Systems class and has provided her with significant tools and knowledge of how information can be stored and retrieved through a relational database. Marni introduced Rachel to the role of creating a database for this project which she was extremely interested in participating in. Through her participation in this role, Rachel hopes to honour the important work and contributions Dan Smoke and Mary Lou Smoke have made to the community.
